SSU takes part in large-scale joint exercises near Belarus (video)

The SSU took part in large-scale interagency special drills in the border areas of Volyn region.

The exercise was conducted near the state border with Belarus as part of Polissia special operation.

Security agencies practiced algorithms of joint actions in the event of illicit migrants breaking through the border.

To identify and record ‘violations’, participants of the training used modern technical devices, including UAVs. The drills were held to simulate real conditions.

According to the scenario, a group of subversives arrives in Ukraine in advance to coordinate the migrants. At the same time, several groups of foreigners are trying to cross the state border illegally.

During the exercise, the SSU located and detained saboteurs in an abandoned building near the border. In the meantime, other law enforcement teams disrupted attempts of a large number of migrants to enter Ukraine illegally.

The detained ‘offenders’ were screened to identify potential terrorists.

The SSU, the National Police, the State Border Guard Service, the National Guard as well as representatives of executive authorities and local government participated in the drills.
