SBU cyber ​​experts identified and blocked unauthorized radio frequency interference in the Joint Forces Operation networks, stationed in Luhansk region.

The SBU established that offenders illegally used electronic equipment on radio frequencies of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This Russia’s spectrum is prohibited for use by civilians. The illicit activity of the suspects could result in blocking and unstable operation of command control channels.

SBU officers documented that a special radio frequency resource was illegally used by a local Internet provider. The company was not licensed for such activity. Businessmen illegally retransmitted using Russia’s military to cover up violations.

During an authorized search of the provider's office, law enforcement officers seized illegal equipment, technical and other documents.

The investigation into unauthorized interference in the work of telecommunication networks identifies all involved individuals and circumstances of the offence.

The operation was conducted jointly with experts of the Cyberpolice Department and the Ukrainian State Centre of Radio Frequencies under the supervision of the prosecutor's office.
