SSU blocks another 3 schemes of draft evaders’ escape abroad: russians wishing to get to EU among ‘clients’
The SSU has shut down another three schemes of illegal migration across Ukraine’s state border.
As a result of investigations, the organizers were detained: they helped their ‘clients’ to unlawfully leave our country using counterfeit documents.
The cost of such ‘services’ reached USD 5,000 per person.
In Lviv region:
a 39-year-old resident was detained for offering men of conscription age fake documents for travelling abroad.
According to the investigation, he was also approached by russian citizens who were in Ukraine at the beginning of the full-scale invasion and were trying to travel to the EU.
The detained individual has been notified of suspicion under Article 332.2 of the CCU (illegal transportation of persons across the state border).
In Zaporizhzhia region:
The SSU Main Department for Internal Security detained a resident of Donetsk region who tried to bribe an SSU officer to obtain ‘documents’ for deregistration from the military register.
The individual could have used the ‘papers’ to illegally cross the border.
However, the SSU officer immediately reported the ‘offer’ to his superiors. The offender was immediately detained.
Based on the evidence collected, the draft evader was served a notice of suspicion under Article 369.3 of the CCU (offer, promise or providing of an unlawful benefit to official).
In Rivne region:
The law enforcement agencies neutralized a criminal group that smuggled ‘clients’ out of Ukraine under the guise of international passenger transportation drivers and volunteers.
The offenders were notified of suspicion under Articles 332.2. 332.3 of the CCU (illegal transportation of persons across the state border). The investigation is ongoing.
The SSU carried out the operational and investigative activities jointly with the National Police under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
