Donetsk region: SSU detects arms cache

In Donetsk region, during counter-sabotage drills the SSU detected a cache with military weapons. The law enforcement officers seized anti-tank mines and an explosive device with electric fuze head from the cache.

The cache was detected in a wooded area near railway lines of Druzhkivka station.

Allegedly, the cache was organized by the militants of the illegal armed formation of the so-called DNR to conduct subversive activity in the region.

During the searches, the officers seized the following items:

  • eight anti-tank grenades
  • 0,5 kg of TNT and plastid
  • three anti-tank mines with detonator
  • nine F-1 grenades, RGD-5 and RKG-3 anti-tank grenade
  • mine-grenade
  • two charges of anti-tank grenade;
  • high-explosive charge;
  • almost 1,5 thousand rounds of various caliber
  • smoke grenade

The investigative actions are ongoing to prosecute those involved into illegal activity.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Main Directorate in Luhansk and Donetsk regions together with the State Emergency Service.
