SSU prevents subversive activity near contact line and exposes cashes of weapons

In Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the SSU exposed two caches of so-called LNR and DNR militants containing almost 40 kg of TNT, anti-tank and anti-personnel mines, as well as rounds for heavy machine guns and anti-aircraft guns.

Allegedly, the cashes were equipped by militants’ subversive groups.

In Luhansk region, a cache of explosives and grenades was equipped in a forest a few kilometers from the contact line. The seized inventory included:

  • 126 TNT bricks of 36 kg total weight;
  • fuzes;
  • 29 F-1 grenades, RGO, RGN and RGD grenades.

In Donetsk region, the SSU exposed a dug up cache near Mariupol and seized:

  • 3 zinc boxes with rounds for anti-aircraft guns;
  • almost a kg of TNT;
  • five anti-tank and anti-personnel mines;
  • 18 grenades;
  • 60 ammunition belts with rounds for large-caliber machine guns;
  • a Kalashnikov assault rifle;
  • a mortar mine;
  • more than 3,000 various caliber rounds for small arms.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Main Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions jointly with the National Police and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
