The SBU Military Counterintelligence jointly with the SBU Office in Rivne region exposed a Ukrainian servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who gathered intelligence for the Russian military intelligence. The representatives of the Russian military intelligence were interested in information of mobilization.

Allegedly, a carrier officer of the Russian Armed Forces recruited the offender to gather defense intelligence.

The offender used remoted data bases and messengers to keep and transfer intelligence.

The SBU officers detained the offender on attempt to illegally transfer mobilization intelligence.

The investigators served him notice of suspicion for high treason. A measure of restraint is being chosen.

The investigative actions are underway to establish all circumstances of illegal activity.

The operation was conducted by the SBU Military Counterintelligence Department jointly with the investigators of the SBU Office in Rivne region under the supervision of the Specialized Prosecutor`s Office in Military and Defence Sphere of the Western Region.
