The SBU exposed an organized group involved in the creation of illegal local self-governments in Kirovohrad region. The offenders planned to destabilize the social and political situation in the region.

Allegedly, the group members tried to create several fake amalgamated territorial communities. For this, they held a "constitutive meeting", where chose the so-called leaders.

Using forged documents and seals, the offenders planned to take control of property and natural resources in several regional settlements.

During searches at the residences of the organizer and two active members, law enforcement found:

• documentation of fake amalgamated territorial community;
• forged certificates of "deputies";
• communication means and computer equipment used by dealers to make forged documents.

Within the criminal proceedings initiated for unauthorized assuming of an office or official title, investigative actions are ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the offense and bring to justice the people involved in the illegal activity.

The operation was carried out by SBU Office in Kirovohrad region jointly with investigators of Main National Police Directorate in Kirovohrad region, under the supervision of Prosecutor's Office.

We remind that in March of 2020, the SBU blocked activity of the similar fake amalgamated territorial community in Kirovohrad region.
