SSU prevents cyber attacks on government and sends to court case against Shariy’s accomplice who supported russian aggression (video)
Since the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion, the SSU has neutralized over 270 cyber attacks on the IT systems of government agencies, telecom operators and Ukrainian mass media.
During this period, the SSU exposed dozens of networks of russian Internet agents. They spun disinformation about the situation on the front and called on citizens to support the occupiers.
In Poltava region:
The SSU dismantled a hacker group that worked for russian special services. The group planned to carry out a series of powerful cyber attacks on electronic systems of government and critical infrastructure of Ukraine.
The criminal group included four hackers who specialized in DDos attacks on digital information resources.
For their subversive activities, the hackers received money through russian payment systems banned in Ukraine.
The group used secure channels to communicate with their russian supervisor.
In Poltava region, the SSU also shut down a bot farm working for russian special services. Occupiers used the farm to spread propaganda and disinformation.
Almost 7,000 fake accounts registered for phone numbers of Ukrainian and foreign mobile operators were used to spread destructive content.
In Vinnytsia:
The SSU investigators have completed pre-trial investigation of the case of a local woman who supported russian aggression and justified occupiers’ crimes. The suspect was a member of the Party of Shariy, banned in our country, and maintained close ties with kremlin propagandists.
In communication with her contacts in russia, she also passed information about the enemy’s missile strikes in Vinnytsia.
The case file has been sent to court.
In Kyiv:
The SSU detained a russian Internet agent who called for seizure of power in Ukraine. He publicly supported the aggressive war against Ukraine and denied facts of war crimes committed by russia.
To campaign in support of the enemy, the agent used social networks vkontakte and Odnoklassniki, which are banned in Ukraine.
In Donetsk region:
The SSU Office in Dnipropetrovsk region exposed a pro-russian blogger who called on citizens to help the aggressor. He recorded his appeals on video and spread them through his accounts on social media.
He also promoted the idea of using physical violence against government officials in Ukraine.
In Rivne region:
Following an investigation by the SSU, an indictment was filed against another enemy accomplice. She is a former employee of a strategic facility in the region and was spreading the kremlin’s disinformation.
It has been established that the woman publicly denied the facts of killing civilians by occupiers in Kyiv region and invaders’ missile attacks on Ukrainian cities, including on the railway station in Kramatorsk.
In Cherkasy region:
The SSU Cyber Department has blocked the activities of three enemy propagandists. These residents of Cherkasy region carried out active pro-kremlin propaganda on the pages of russian social networks and in the Internet communities with thousands of subscribers. They openly supported the invaders and praised the successes of the so-called ‘denazification’.
The SSU will continue to expose and counter the threats of subversive activities of the aggressor against Ukraine’s state security.
