SSU detains eight individuals who tried to disrupt mobilization: one of them attacked TRC officers with knife

The SSU has apprehended another eight provocateurs who attempted to disrupt mobilization. The perpetrators called on men liable for military service to evade conscription and spread fakes on Ukrainian military servicemen.

One of them is a resident of Kyiv who attacked officials of a Territorial Recruitment Center with a knife after a summons was served to a conscript.

Following a prompt response by the military and police, the individual was detained.

Also in Kyiv:

Three administrators and contributors of Telegram channels and Viber groups have been detained. They published geolocations of Territorial Recruitment Centers and the police in Pecherskyi, Dniprovskyi and Solomianskyi districts.

In Poltava region:

A lawyer who obstructed the work of Territorial Recruitment Centers was served a suspicion notice.

In Cherkasy region:

Two administrators of anonymous groups in messenger apps were detained for leaking coordinates of mobile checkpoints in the region.

In Rivne:

the administrator of a closed Viber group, who daily posted the geolocations of Ukrainian servicemen, including representatives of the TRCs, has been served a suspicion notice.

In the uncovered cases, SSU investigators have notified the detainees of suspicion under the Articles of the CCU (in accordance with the offences committed):

  • 114-1.1 (obstruction of lawful activities of the AFU, during a special period);
  • 129.1 (death threat).

The suspects face up to 8 years in prison.

The operations were carried out by the SSU regional offices under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Offices.
