SSU detains FSB agent preparing new russian strikes on Odesa region

The SSU has apprehended another FSB agent in Odesa oblast. He was adjusting russian missile and drone strikes on a port city in the region.

The ruscists were trying to identify the coordinates of bases of the personnel and boats of the maritime guard units of the State Border Guard Service.

The invaders also hoped to obtain the locations of air defence firing positions protecting the southern region.

To do this, the FSB engaged its agent, a 39-year-old paramedic at a local ambulance station. The russian intelligence noticed the man back in April this year, when he posted anti-Ukrainian comments on russian Telegram channels.

On the enemy instructions, their asset gathered intelligence during trips to the coastal areas, including during ambulance calls.

The traitor displayed the obtained data on a Google map and then sent the screenshots to his FSB handler.

The SSU documented the agent’s criminal actions and apprehended him.

During the search, the SSU found two mobile phones that he had used to communicate with the FSB.

The SSU has now served him a notice of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Odesa region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
