SSU detains FSB agent who adjusted missile strikes on Odesa
The SSU has detained another FSB agent in Odesa. The perpetrator was collecting coordinates for new missile and drone strikes on the city.
The enemy priority targets were the combat positions of air defense systems protecting Odesa.
To identify the geolocations, the traitor drove around the city and its suburbs in his car and covertly photographed the targets.
The collected information was passed to his russian handler via an anonymous chat in a messenger app.
In case Odesa is captured, the enemy accomplice hoped to head the ‘construction department’ in the local russian occupation administration under the protection of the russian special service.
The SSU uncovered and documented the spy at an early stage and detained him ‘red-handed’. He was near a military facility and tried to film its perimeter.
According to the investigation, the aggressor’s agent is a 55-year-old resident of a coastal village in Odesa district who periodically published his pro-kremlin comments on russian TV channels.
In this way, the man came to the attention of the FSB, which recruited him remotely in June this year.
During the search of the suspect’s home, the investigators found two cell phones, which he used to communicate with the FSB.
The SSU served the detainee a notice of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Odesa Office under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
