Vinnytsia region: SSU detains fsb agent who "hunted" for AFU ammunition and weapons depots
The SSU Counterintelligence detained another FSB agent who was spying on the Defense Forces in Vinnytsia region. The enemy was interested in the locations of the AFU weapons and ammunition depots.
In addition, the offender reconnoitered the locations of the training centers of the Defense Forces and the main logistical routes for the transportation of weapons to the front line.
To obtain intelligence, the agent regularly drove around the area looking for relevant locations, and elicited the ‘necessary’ information from his friends during everyday conversations.
To do this, he tried to establish friendly relations with local residents who were involved in military service.
Having received the coordinates of the AFU deployment, the agent had to immediately ‘report’ to the occupiers to prepare an air strike on the targets.
The SSU uncovered and documented the spy at an early stage and detained him in his home.
According to the investigation, the enemy accomplice was a local 40-year-old manager, an ideological supporter of ruscism.
In the spring of 2024, he contacted the fsb through his relatives living in russia and cooperating with the russian intelligence service.
The agent communicated with the occupiers through an anonymous chat in a popular messenger app.
During the searches, the detainee was seized of cell phones with evidence of his reconnaissance and subversive activities in the interests of russia.
The SSU investigators served him a notice of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason committed under martial law).
The offender is in custody facing life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Vinnytsia region under the procedural supervision of the Regional Prosecutor's Office.
