SSU detains enemy agents who carried out online adjustment of missile strikes on Ukraine

The Security Service of Ukraine has detained another two agents of russian intelligence services who were adjusting enemy fire on Poltava and Sumy regions.

The perpetrators installed hidden video cameras near the targets.

This allowed the occupiers to monitor the impact of their strikes online, as well as to adjust repeated or plan new attacks.

In this way the aggressor tried to hit Ukrainian military airfields, thermal power plants and energy generating enterprises.

According to the investigation, the agents first found the ‘right’ objects. Next, they installed and disguised mobile phones that broadcast online.

External batteries were connected to the devices to ensure uninterrupted operation.

The SSU Counterintelligence documented the sabotage activity and caught the traitors in the act when they were installing another phone near a military facility.

According to the investigation, both individuals were recruited by russia this summer when they were looking for quick money on Telegram.

However, instead of promised money from russia, they received suspicion notices from SSU investigators under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The suspects are in custody and face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Offices in Poltava and Sumy regions under the procedural supervision of Poltava Region Prosecutor’s Office.
