SSU detains FSB agent in Kryvyi Rih

The SSU Military Counterintelligence has carried out a special operation to expose an FSB informant in Dnipropetrovsk oblast.

As a result, the SSU detained a woman who collected intelligence for the occupiers on locations and movements of Ukraine’s Defence Forces in Kryvyi Rih.

She also recorded consequences of russian air strikes on the city.

Telegram app was used to transmit collected data to the FSB.

The invaders used her information to adjust repeated air strikes and prepare new attacks on Kryvyi Rih.

According to the investigation, the enemy informant is a local resident who supported russia when the full-scale invasion started and, on many occasions, expressed such attitude.

In this way, she came to the attention of the FSB, which later remotely involved her in covert cooperation against Ukraine.

To execute the enemy’s assignments, the agent drove the streets of the city and covertly took photos and videos of Ukrainian targets.

SSU investigators have now served her a notice of suspicion.

The suspect is in custody, facing up to 12 years in prison. The investigation is ongoing.

The operation was conducted under the procedural supervision of Dnipropetrovsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
