SSU detains FSB agent who poisoned AFU serviceman and prepared explosives for terrorist attacks in Kharkiv on russia’s orders
The SSU Counterintelligence has apprehended another russian agent in Kharkiv. This is a woman, a local IT specialist who, on the order of russia’s federal security service, poisoned an Armed Forces serviceman and prepared improvised explosive devices for terrorist attacks.
To kill a Ukrainian soldier, the traitor gave him medicines and food under the guise of assistance from volunteers, into which she mixed poisonous substances.
The victim was then hospitalized in a serious condition to a local hospital.
The FSB agent’s next task was to manufacture improvised explosive devices and move them to caches to prepare terrorist attacks.
The woman hid one of the bombs near her apartment building, and the SSU seized the other one in the suspect’s home. Following the enemy instructions, she disguised the IED as a fire extinguisher and equipped it with metal nuts for greater effect.
According to the investigation, the individual came to russia’s attention before the start of the full-scale war, when she visited her relatives in russia. The asset began receiving assignments from the russian special service in early 2025.
SSU investigators have served the detainee a notice of suspicion under the Articles of the CCU:
- 27.5, 258.2 (aiding and abetting in a terrorist act committed upon prior conspiracy);
- 263.1 (illegal possession of an explosive device).
The decision to qualify her crimes also under Articles 15.2, 115.2 of the CCU (completed attempted murder) is pending.
The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kharkiv region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
