The SSU has detained an aggressor’s informant who adjusted missile and bomb attacks on Kharkiv. The perpetrator is a 55-year-old local woman who worked as a security guard.

She tried to identify locations of large concentrations of the city’s defenders and their military equipment, as well as collected information on the consequences of russian air attacks.

In order to gather intelligence, the woman drove around Kharkiv and elicited information from her friends during seemingly everyday conversations.

The asset sent the intelligence to a Telegram channel, administered by the russian intelligence services.

The occupiers used this information to prepare new and adjust repeated attacks on Kharkiv, using missiles and guided aerial bombs.

The SSU identified the traitor and detained her. The mobile phone, which she used to communicate with the occupiers, was seized.

According to the investigation, the perpetrator subscribed to the enemy Telegram channel and offered her assistance in the war against Ukraine.

Among other things, she gave advice on how to fight against our country and called for the capture of Kharkiv.

Based on the evidence, SSU investigators served the detainee a notice of suspicion under two Articles of the CCU:

• 111.2 (high treason, committed under martial law);
• 436-2.1, 436-2.3 (justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).

The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kharkiv region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
