SSU detains enemy agent who guided russian strikes at Donetsk region’s defenders
The SSU has apprehended another enemy agent in Donetsk oblast. The woman passed the locations of Ukraine’s Defense Forces to the russians and was waiting for the occupation of Kramatorsk.
According to the investigation, the perpetrator is a local pensioner, a former employee of the disbanded ‘militsiya’ [former police service in Ukraine]. She worked for the enemy through a ‘liaison’, her old friend, who had also served in ‘militsiya’.
In 2014, he joined the ‘DNR’ terrorists. After the full-scale invasion, he became a commander of one of the reconnaissance and assault brigades of the russian armed forces.
On the russian orders, the agent provided information on locations of fortifications and firing positions of Ukrainian troops near Kramatorsk to her handler.
The aggressor was interested in the coordinates of the AFU rocket artillery, as well as the routes of tankers supplying fuel to the front line.
To collect intelligence, the woman drove her car around the area and covertly recorded military targets.
The SSU Counterintelligence identified the traitor at an early stage, found and detained her.
SSU investigators served her a notice of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
