SSU detains fsb agent group preparing massive air strikes on Ukraine on Easter eve
The SSU has detained an fsb agent group that was preparing coordinates for massive air strikes in Kyiv, Cherkasy, Poltava, Vinnytsia and Kirovohrad regions on the eve of Easter.
The enemy's priority targets included energy generating enterprises and logistics warehouses for fuel and lubricants.
In addition, the occupiers planned to receive intelligence on the current geolocation of military airfields and special forces guarding the AFU General Staff.
To accomplish these tasks, the russian intelligence service involved two of its agents from the towns of Uman and Lubny. For conspiracy purposes, the perpetrators acted separately, but were remotely handled by one fsb supervisor.
The SSU has identified and documented the enemy agents at an early stage of their unlawful activity.
As a result, the traitors were detained red-handed near Kyiv, where they were conducting additional reconnaissance near potential targets, and the aggressor's plans to prepare air strikes were disrupted.
According to the investigation, both offenders, 28-year-old unemployed men, were remotely recruited by an officer of the fsb office in Crimea in March this year. The SSU has already identified him.
The officer promised his agents a monetary reward for cooperation with the occupiers. They used an anonymous chat in a popular messenger for communication.
SSU investigators have served the detainees notices of suspicion under Art. 111.2 of the CCU (high treason committed under martial law).
The criminals are in custody facing life imprisonment.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Offices in Kyiv and Kyiv region under the procedural supervision of the Kyiv Region Prosecutor's Office.
