SSU detains farm worker who helped ruscists mine fields during occupation of Kharkiv oblast

The SSU has uncovered another enemy accomplice who collaborated with the russian military during the occupation of Kharkiv region.

The collaborator is a local farm worker. After the seizure of Kupiansk district, he helped the invaders navigate the area to set up the minefields.

The ruscists mined areas around the district center, including local roads used by civilians.

The traitor also gave the occupiers farm food and wood to heat the seized school where they stationed. In his own home, he accommodated three russian commanders.

The man also forced his colleagues to provide the invaders with concrete blocks and wood for the construction of fortifications.

In case of refusal, he threatened to imprison them in russian torture chambers.

After the liberation of the area, the perpetrator stayed in the community, hiding to evade justice. However, SSU officers established his location and detained him.

SSU investigators served the detainee a notice of suspicion under Article 111-2.1 of the CCU (aiding the aggressor state).

The offender is in custody, facing up to 12 years in prison.

The SSU Office in Kharkiv region carried out the operation under the supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
