SSU detains accountant who helped FSB carry out missile strikes on Odesa
The SSU has apprehended another agent of russia’s federal security service who was preparing coordinates for a new series of missile and drone strikes on Odesa.
The enemy was interested in the locations of checkpoints, armoured vehicles and mobile air defence teams.
To adjust the air attacks, the FSB recruited a woman – an accountant from a local plant – whom they noticed due to her anti-Ukrainian posts on Telegram.
On the russian instructions, the agent travelled around the city by public transport and recorded locations of Ukrainian defenders on video.
After reconnaissance raids, she put the collected data on Google Maps and prepared a report for the FSB.
The SSU documented her unlawful activities and detained her. Action was taken to protect the locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the searches of the traitor’s home, the SSU found a mobile phone with evidence of her reconnaissance and sabotage against Ukraine. The device contained proof of covert photography and video recording of the Defence Forces as well as communication with the russian intelligence.
SSU investigators served the detained individual a notice of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The suspect is in custody without the right to be released on bail and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Odesa region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
