SSU conducted special operation as a result of which 3 individuals, who in 2016 committed series of attacks on the financial institutions and cash transit vans in Zaporizzhia, were detained.

The whole time they have been fled from prosecution and conducted property felony, particularly, the acquisition of vehicles and other property. Currently these felonies are being investigated by the National Police.

According to the SSU materials, recently detained offenders were hiding out on the base in Donetsk region. This object has special protection system and 24 hour video monitoring.

To ensure the movement of the perpetrators outside the base, they used the documents of the fallen soldiers and resigned servicemen.

This criminal group constantly carried combat firearms, hand grenades and at any point was ready to commit armed resistance.

In general, the criminal group consisted of 7 individuals. Two of them died after the injuries in 2016 while putting up armed resistance, another two were detained earlier.

During the special operation the SSU detained the offenders. Currently the type of detention is being chosen.

The operation was conducted by the SSU CI, Center of Special Operations “A” and the SSU Main Investigative Department.
