In the course of stabilization activities in the liberated Kherson, the SSU detained another collaborator.

The offender is an official of Kherson Oblast Military Administration.

During the temporary occupation of the city, he voluntarily agreed to join the ‘main directorate of russia’s ministry of internal affairs in Kherson region’ established by the aggressor.

There, the man was appointed ‘senior expert in the accounting and financial examinations unit of the forensic center’.

His ‘duties’ included preparation of so-called ‘examinations of the enterprises’ financial activities’.

The expert’s ‘findings’ were needed to fabricate cases against patriotic owners of Ukrainian companies in the occupied territory.

The investigation established that while serving in the occupation authority the enemy accomplice had travelled to moscow for ‘advanced training’.

After Kherson’s liberation, the suspect first ‘laid low’ and then re-joined the region’s military administration.

However, the SSU identified the traitor, documented his criminal actions and detained him.

During the searches at his home, the SSU found:

• printed laws, orders and instructions of russia’s interior ministry on forensic examinations;
• documents confirming his internship in moscow.

The detained enemy accomplice has been served a notice of suspicion under Article 111-1.7 of the CCU - collaboration, voluntary occupation of a position by a citizen of Ukraine in unlawful law enforcement agencies established in the temporarily occupied territory.

The court chose custody as a measure of restraint for the suspect. The investigation is ongoing. The offender is facing up to 15 years in prison.

The SSU Office in Kherson region exposed the collaborator jointly with the National Police under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
