SSU detains two collaborators from ‘russian ministry of interior’ in Kherson region who abducted Ukrainians to torture chambers

In the course of stabilization efforts in liberated Kherson, the SSU exposed another two enemy accomplices.

During the occupation, they voluntarily joined the ‘main directorate of the interior ministry in Kherson region’ established by invaders.

After an ‘interview’ with the FSB, one of them was appointed an ‘investigator’ and tasked to participate in suppressing the resistance movement.

The victims were subjected to psychological pressure, violence and death threats.

Through terror and repression, ruscists tried to spread the kremlin’s regime in the temporarily occupied territory.

The other collaborator was appointed a ‘police patrolman’ in the occupation authority.

While in this ‘position’, he was directly involved in persecution and illegal detention of Ukrainian citizens.

After Kherson’s liberation, the collaborators tried to hide in the city.

However, they failed. The SSU located and detained the offenders.

SSU investigators notified both detainees of suspicion under the Article 111-1.7 of the CCU (collaboration).

Court chose custody as a measure of restraint for the suspects.

The crime is punishable by up to 15 years in prison.

The SSU Office in Kherson Region carried out the pre-trial investigation under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
