SSU detains two collaborators from occupation "social policy department of russian federation", which functioned after Kherson seizure
The SSU exposed another two collaborators as a result of stabilization efforts in liberated Kherson. One of them tried to escape from prosecution abroad. However, SSU officers prevented this and detained the offender near the border with the European Union.
The traitors were two officials: one from the city department of labor and social protection, and the other from the regional office of the State Property Fund.
After the seizure of the city, the women supported the russian invaders and were "appointed" to the local occupation administration of the russian federation.
The collaborators received senior "positions" in the so-called "social policy department of the Kherson city district".
One of the offenders headed an "information and documentation division". She registered constituent documents under russian laws and recruited "personnel" for employment in the pseudo-institution.
Another collaborator managed the so-called "accounting division". According to the investigation, she threatened local residents with the cancellation of social security benefits if they refused to receive russian passports.
Based on the collected evidence, the offenders were served a notice of suspicion under Part 5 Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (collaboration).
Both suspects are currently in custody facing up to 10 years in prison.
The SSU Office in Kherson region carried out the operation under the procedural supervision of Kherson Region Prosecutor’s Office and Skadovsk District Prosecutor’s Office.
