SSU detains two pro-russian agitators, one of whom former teacher of Kyiv lyceum
The SSU has cracked down on the subversive activities of two more supporters of racism in Kyiv and Kharkiv region, who justified russian aggression against Ukraine.
The malefactors were spreading the kremlin’s narratives on russian and social media.
Particularly, in Kyiv:
The SSU has exposed a former teacher of a Kyiv lyceum. Among his students, he disseminated the ideas of the ROC priest-blogger Andrei Tkachev, who was previously served a notice of suspicion by the SSU for calling for the elimination of Ukrainian cities.
The perpetrator also sought to impose the postulates of racism authored by russian pseudo-historian Yevgeny Spitsyn, who denied the existence of Ukraine as a sovereign state.
Besides, the enemy propagandist persuaded his friends of conscription age to evade the service in the defense forces and praised the Kremlin leaders.
In Kharkiv region:
Another pro-Kremlin agitator was exposed who participated in staged stories by russian media during the temporary occupation of the region.
At that time, he lived in a locality that was occupied and gave the so-called interviews to pro-Kremlin news agencies, in which he called the war in Ukraine a civil conflict.
In these stories, he also voluntarily called on Ukrainian defenders to lay down their arms in favor of the aggressor country.
Such videos were presented by russian media as the mood of ordinary Ukrainians and used for massive dispersal in the media space.
After the liberation of the region, the offender laid low and thus hoped to avoid justice. However, the SSU has succeeded in preventing his plans.
On the grounds of the collected evidence, the SSU has served both suspects a notice of suspicion under Art. 436-2 of the CCU (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).
The investigation is ongoing. The offenders are facing up to 8 years of imprisonment.
The operation was conducted by the SSU in Kyiv city, Kyiv and Kharkiv regions under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor's Office.
