The SSU prevented a former official from Kherson who collaborated with ruscists in the occupied city from fleeing Ukraine.

The russian accomplice was detained at the Krakivets checkpoint in Lviv region when she was trying to travel to the EU.

According to the investigation, the offender was a deputy head of the Kherson Center for Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine.

During the occupation of Kherson, the official joined the executives of the seized healthcare facility and provided the invaders with 24 ambulances.

To do this, she signed a relevant ‘order’ to make the procedure ‘legal’.

In addition, the collaborator assisted the ruscists in the mass deportation of Ukrainian children. They were transported in ambulances from Kherson region to Crimea and then to russia.

In such a way, the forced transfer of minors was disguised as the movement of medical vehicles.

Moreover, the occupiers used ambulances to evacuate the wounded from the front line to the military hospitals of the aggressor country.

Shortly before the liberation of Kherson, russian troops transported the stolen medical vehicles to the left bank of the Dnipro River to register them in the administration of gauleiter Saldo.

After the de-occupation of the city, the enemy's accomplice stayed in Kherson, where she tried to avoid justice pretending to be ‘out of politics’.

However, at the end of the summer of 2023, she moved to Lviv and applied for payments there as an internally displaced person.

Later, the offender decided to flee abroad through the Krakivets checkpoint, where she was detained by the SSU and the National Police.

During the searches at the suspect's home in Lviv and Kherson, the SSU seized flash drives and documents with evidence of her unlawful actions.

SSU investigators have notified her of suspicion under Article 111-2.1 of the CCU (aiding the aggressor state). The suspect is in custody facing up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property. The investigation is ongoing.

The operation was conducted by the SSU Office in Kherson region together with the National Police under the procedural supervision of regional Prosecutor’s Office.
