SSU detains traitors, ex-member of local council and his accomplice, who guided russian missiles at Kherson (video)

The SSU has dismantled an agent group of the FSB in the right-bank Kherson region.

As a result of a special operation, the SSU identified 4 members of the enemy network who adjusted missile and drone strikes on the oblast.

Two of them were detained ‘red-handed’ when performing an assignment of the russian intelligence service.

These are a former member of Kherson District Council and a hospital employee.

According to the investigation, the occupiers attacked a local hospital, a church and the National Police building using the intelligence from these assets. They were also preparing new air attacks on ‘targets’ Kherson region.

To adjust the strikes, the agents walked Kherson streets pretending to be ‘going for a stroll’ and covertly recording locations of the Defence Forces.

Their other task was to collect intelligence on the consequences of enemy attacks on the city.

The former council deputy collected the data from other members of the network and sent it via a messenger app to the head of the group.  The latter turned out to be his local acquaintance, who cooperated with the FSB during the occupation of the region.

Just before Kherson’s liberation, he fled to russia and continued to cooperate with the aggressor.

During the investigation, the SSU identified and documented the fourth member of the enemy network, who is in the temporarily occupied territory.

The four identified participants have been notified of suspicion.

The detained ex-member of local council, whose mobile phone and records with evidence were seized, was served a notice of suspicion under Articles 28.2 and 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law, by a group, upon prior conspiracy).

The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment.

The actions of his accomplice are classified under Article 114-2.2 of the CCU (unauthorized dissemination of information on directing, movement of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, movement, transfer or deployment of the AFU).

The perpetrators hiding in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and in russia are suspected of high treason committed under martial law, by a group and upon prior conspiracy (Article 28.2, 111.2 of the CCU).

The efforts to find and prosecute all members of the network are underway.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Kherson Office under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
