As a result of stabilization measures in liberated Kherson, the SSU detained another enemy accomplice.

The offender is a former head of the legal division of the Department for Civil Protection and Defense of the Kherson Regional State Administration.

At the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion, the official supported the invaders and collaborated with them.

During the temporary occupation of Kherson, he stayed in the city and agreed to head a "legal support department" created by the aggressor in the seized water resources basin administration.

The collaborator's main task was to adjust the subordinated institutions in line with the requirements of "russian legislation".

To do this, he tried to recruit local residents, who were promised to be paid in rubles and treated loyally by the ruscists.

After Kherson’s liberation, the criminal wanted to "get lost" in the city and avoid prosecution.

Based on the collected evidence, SSU investigators notified the detainee of suspicion under Article 111-1.5 of the CCU (collaboration).

Court is to choose custody as a measure of restraint for the suspect who is facing

up to 15 years in prison.
