SSU detains ‘power engineer’ who cut off power in part of Donetsk region and directed electricity to enemy bases
As a result of stabilization measures in the liberated areas of Donetsk oblast, the SSU exposed another collaborator.
The enemy accomplice is a former employee of local power grids, who during temporary occupation supported the invaders.
For this, he was appointed to head ‘Krasnolimanskyi district power distribution company’, subordinated to the so-called ‘DNR ministry of coal and energy’.
While in the ‘position’, the official disconnected the district center from power supply and redirected it to the needs of russian occupation forces.
To recruit ‘staff’ and carry out technical activity, he established cooperation with representatives of the ‘regional power supply company’ of the temporarily occupied Horlivka.
Having cut off power, ruscists supplied energy to their occupation entities, military bases and weapons and ammunition depots.
After Lyman’s liberation, the criminal tried to escape. However, the SSU timely located and detained him.
SSU investigators notified the detainee of suspicion under the Article 111-1.4 of the CCU (collaboration).
Court is to decide on custody as a measure of restraint.
The SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions exposed the offender with the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
