SSU detains informant who reported to fsb on consequences of russian attack on cafe in Kramatorsk

The SSU CI detained a fsb informant in Donetsk region who collected intelligence regarding russian missile attack on the café in the downtown of Kramatorsk on June 27.

He received this task immediately after the attack.

The most required information was the number of killed and injured people due to the attack.

The enemy also tried to obtain as much information as possible about the victims' possible affiliation with the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

It was established that the fsb informant covertly monitored the location and movements of Ukrainian defenders in the territory of the frontline city.

The occupiers needed intelligence to prepare new air strikes on the region.

In Kramatorsk, the SSU found and detained the criminal while he was performing a new task assigned by the fsb.

According to the investigation, the informant was a local resident who was recruited by the russian special service in the spring of this year. He came to the attention of the aggressor because of his anti-Ukrainian comments in various Telegram channels.

Further communication was carried out via the messenger. To cover the identity, the offender registered his account using a fake name.

Based on the evidence collected, the SSU investigators served a suspicion notice to the informant.

The suspect is in custody. The investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the criminal activity.

The SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions carried out the counter-sabotage activities under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
