SSU detains ‘personnel officer of russian interior ministry’ in Kherson region who recruited people to occupiers’ ranks

As a result of stabilization measures in the liberated Kherson, the SSU exposed another three enemy accomplices.

During the occupation, they voluntarily joined the ‘main directorate of the ministry of internal affairs in Kherson region’ established by occupiers.

Among them is the head of one of the ‘human resources’ units of the pseudo-directorate. This woman launched a wide campaign to attract locals to cooperate with the enemy.

She personally searched for ‘like-minded people’ and offered them to join the occupation entity.

After Kherson’s liberation, the collaborator tried to hide.

However, not for long. The SSU located her and now the suspect is in custody.

SSU investigators served her a notice of suspicion under the Article 111-1.7 of the CCU (collaboration, voluntary holding by a citizen of Ukraine of a position in illegal judicial or law enforcement body established in the temporarily occupied territory).

Another two enemy accomplices are former employees of local banks. After the capture of the city, they decided to collaborate with the aggressor.

They were appointed ‘inspector of the personnel unit of the ministry of interior in Kherson region’ and ‘specialist of the federal migration service of the ministry of interior in Kherson region’.

A few days before the liberation of the city, they fled to the temporarily occupied areas in the south of Ukraine.

Irrefutable evidence has been collected against them. The indictments have been sent to court.

The law enforcement agencies are acting to bring the offenders to justice for crimes against Ukraine.

The investigation was conducted by the SSU Main Investigation Directorate and the SSU Main Directorate for Counterintelligence Support of Critical Infrastructure and Countering Terrorism Financing jointly with the SSU Offices in the Crimea, the Department of Internal Security of the National Police under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
