SSU detains collaborator who helped ruscists build checkpoints in occupied part of Kharkiv region

In the course of stabilization measures in the liberated districts of Kharkiv region, the SSU exposed another enemy accomplice.

The offender is a former engineer of Balakliia district road service, who during the occupation of the town supported russian invaders and offered them his assistance in the war against Ukraine.

For this, he was appointed head of the local ‘road repair enterprise’ established by the aggressor.

While in his ‘position’, he organized the repair of roads for the transfer of russian military equipment convoys to the eastern front.

The collaborator gave instructions to build enemy checkpoints and paint bus stops in the russian ‘tricolor’.

He also tried to attract local residents to the ranks of the pseudo-enterprise, promising support from occupiers and ‘salaries’ in russian rubles.

After Balakliia’s liberation, the offender tried to ‘lie low’ and hide from prosecution.

However, the SSU detained him.

Based on the collected evidence, the detainee was served a notice of suspicion under the Article 111-1.4 of the CCU (collaboration).

Court is to decide on a measure of restraint.

The operational and investigative activities were carried out by the SSU Office in Kharkiv region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
