SSU detains collaborator who helped enemy capture enterprises in Kupiansk
The SSU exposed another collaborator in the de-occupied area of Kharkiv oblast and collected irrefutable evidence of his voluntary collaboration with the enemy.
The traitor is a 54-year-old resident of the region, who was one of the first to defect to the enemy.
The investigation established that during temporary occupation the man had voluntarily agreed to head the so-called ‘Kondrashovo territorial unit’ of Kupiansk district occupation administration.
While in the ‘position’, he personally contributed to the establishment of the occupation regime as well as solved transport and logistics issues to help the invaders.
The collaborator also identified Ukrainian enterprises that refused to cooperate with the enemy in order to force them to ‘re-registrate’ and work for the aggressor state.
After the liberation of Kharkiv region, the criminal tried to hide in the area, but the SSU located and detained him.
SSU investigators notified the detainee of suspicion of collaboration (Article 111-1.5 of the CCU). Court chose custody as a measure of restraint for the suspect.
The crime is punishable by up to 10 years of imprisonment.
The SSU Office in Kharkiv Region carried out the operation under the procedural supervision of the regional prosecutor’s office.
