SSU detains collaborator who transported ruscists on rotation from Kharkiv region to Belgorod on school bus

The SSU has detained another enemy accomplice who collaborated with the aggressor during the battle for Kharkiv.

The perpetrator is a 59-year-old school bus driver from Kozacha Lopan village. After the village was seized, he offered the invaders his assistance in the war against Ukraine.

According to the investigation, the man drove russian soldiers on rotation from the frontline village to Belgorod and back.

The collaborator used a school bus belonging to the village council, which he parked in the backyard of his house.

He also transported weapons and ammunition from russia for the occupation grouping fighting on the front line near Kharkiv.

The bus driver painted the vehicle green and put russian symbols on it. Later, fleeing from Kharkiv region from Ukraine’s counteroffensive, the invaders stole the bus from to transport their personnel and weapons.

After the de-occupation of the district, the traitor hid in a neighbouring village and hoped to evade justice. However, the SSU found and detained him.

Following the SSU’s investigation, the individual was served a notice of suspicion under Article 111-2.1 of the CCU (aiding the aggressor state).

The suspect is in custody and faces up to 12 years in prison.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kharkiv region jointly with the National Police under the procedural supervision of Kharkiv District Prosecutor’s Office.
