SSU detains collaborator who for helping ruscists received ‘permission’ to rob houses in occupied Luhansk oblast (video)

In Kyiv region, the SSU detained an enemy accomplice who voluntarily collaborated with the occupiers in the temporarily captured Luhansk region for almost six months.

The traitor is a pro-russian employee of an agricultural company in a village of Svatove district.

When the settlement was occupied, he immediately supported the invaders and offered them his assistance in the war against Ukraine.

The investigation established that the collaborator had transported russian military personnel and ammunition.

He also set up a ‘service station’ in his own backyard to repair russian military equipment, including armoured personnel carriers damaged by Ukrainian defenders.

In return, the occupiers allowed the man to move freely in the neighbourhood and rob homes of people who had moved to Ukraine-controlled territory.

In the spring of 2023, when the front line approached the outskirts of his village after Ukraine’s counteroffensive, the collaborator moved to Kyiv region.

There, he tried to ‘legalize’ himself as an IDP from eastern Ukraine and even applied for social benefits.

The SSU established his location and detained the offender in Boryspil.

Based on the evidence collected, SSU investigators notified him of suspicion of collaboration (Article 111-1.7 of the CCU).

The suspect is in custody, facing up to 15 years in prison. The investigation is ongoing.

The SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions carried out the operation under the procedural supervision of Luhansk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
