SSU detains former guard of russian torture chamber, which operated during Kherson occupation

The SSU has exposed another official-collaborator from liberated Kherson.

The enemy accomplice is a former employee of the local penitentiary institution, who after Kherson’s capture started to cooperate with russian invaders.

For this, the individual was offered a ‘position’ in the ‘correctional colony’ established by the aggressor.

The man agreed to the ‘offer’ and voluntarily applied to join the occupation entity.

There, the collaborator was appointed to the security unit of the russian facility, where ruscists illegally imprisoned repressed locals.

Most of the prisoners were members of the resistance movement.

In the jails, occupiers tortured Ukrainian citizens and tried to ‘beat out’ their consent to cooperate with the enemy.

The investigation established that the collaborator had helped the aggressor to guard the ‘cells’ and ‘perimeter’ of the russian torture chamber.

During Kherson’s liberation, the offender decided to flee to Odesa, where tried to ‘lay low’ and hide from justice.

However, the SSU established his location and detained him.

Based on the collected evidence, SSU investigators notified the detainee of suspicion of collaboration (Article 111-1.7 of the CCU).

Court chose custody as a measure of restraint.

The SSU Office in Odesa region carried out the investigative and operational activities under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
