SSU detains enemy spotter who passed Kupiansk defenders’ combat positions to ruscists

The SSU has apprehended another agent of russia’s federal security service in Kharkiv region. The perpetrator adjusted russian missile, bomb and artillery strikes on Ukrainian troops defending Kupiansk.

The enemy’s main targets were the command posts, fortifications and firing positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine along the frontline.

According to the investigation, the traitor is a local unemployed man. The FSB ‘noticed’ him because of his pro-kremlin comments on russian Telegram channels.

After recruitment, the traitor walked around the town and surrounding areas, secretly recording locations and routes of Ukrainian defenders.

For each provided location of the Defence Forces, the occupiers promised money, but the agent never received any payments.

The SSU identified the spotter at an early stage and detained him in his home.

During the search, a mobile phone with evidence of his communication with the FSB was seized from the agent.

SSU investigators served the detainee a notice of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The investigation is ongoing. The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kharkiv region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
