SSU detains forward observers who helped enemy shell Mykolaiv region (video)
The SSU has exposed russian agents whose information on the location of Ukrainian military units and infrastructure facilities was used by the occupiers in the recent missile attacks on Mykolaiv and Bashtanka.
The SSU established that the agents were residents of Mykolaiv region. They passed collected intelligence to their supervisor through secure communication channels.
During the search at the suspects’ homes, investigators seized computers and mobile phones with evidence of unlawful activity.
The enemy agents have been detained and notified of suspicion under Article 114-2.3 of the CCU (unauthorized dissemination of information about transfer of weapons, armaments and ammunition to Ukraine, movement, transfer or deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, committed under martial law or a state of emergency, with the aim of providing such information to aggressor).
This crime is punishable by 8 to 12 years in prison.
The investigation is ongoing.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Mykolaiv Office under the procedural supervision of Mykolaiv Region Prosecutor’s Office.
