SSU detains FSB mole who used drones to adjust russian missile strikes on Khmelnytskyi region

In Khmelnytskyi, the SSU has apprehended another agent of russia’s federal security service. The perpetrator is a 37-year-old serviceman mobilized to a local military unit, who, on enemy orders, adjusted missile strikes on the western region of Ukraine.

The occupiers were targeting bases of the Defense Forces, as well as power substations and facilities on Ukrainian railways.

As an operator of unmanned systems, the mole used the unit’s UAVs to track potential targets.

The agent also installed a hidden mini-camera with a remote access function for the FSB in front of the region’s junction railway station.

In this way, the russian service hoped to spy on the movement of military echelons toward the front.

The SSU identified the traitor at an early stage, documented his crimes and detained him. Simultaneously, action was taken to protect the locations of the Defense Forces and critical infrastructure facilities.

According to SSU cyber units, the enemy service recruited him remotely through the banned social network Vkontakte.

The agent used an anonymous chat in a messenger app to communicate with the FSB.

During the searches, the suspect’s mobile phones with evidence of his contacts with the aggressor were seized.

Based on the evidence, SSU investigators served the detainee a notice of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Khmelnytskyi region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
