SSU detains nurse who worked for FSB and passed Ukrainian defenders’ personal data to enemy

As a result of counter-sabotage efforts in the liberated Kherson, the SSU detained another russian agent.

The traitor is a woman, a nurse at a local hospital, recruited by an officer of the FSB during Kherson’s occupation.

On his instructions, she stayed in the city after the liberation and continued to work in the medical institution in order to conduct reconnaissance and sabotage against Ukraine.

For the aggressor, the nurse collected identification data of Ukrainian defenders treated in the hospital.

She also spied on locations of the Defence Forces stationed in Kherson.

The russian agent recorded consequences of enemy missile and artillery strikes on the city and transmitted the ‘reports’ to the FSB via a messenger app.

The occupiers needed the intelligence to adjust repeated attacks.

According to investigators, the woman came to the attention of russian intelligence because of her publicly expressed support for the invaders in an anti-Ukrainian group on Telegram.

During the searches at the suspect’s home, SSU investigators found the mobile phone she used to communicate with the FSB.

Based on the evidence collected, the SSU notified the woman of suspicion of high treason committed under martial law (Article 111.2 of the CCU).

The suspect is in custody. The investigation is ongoing.

The SSU Office in Kherson region carried out the operation under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
