SSU detains FSB agent who worked for ruscists through ‘liaison’ from UOC-MP

The SSU Counterintelligence has detained another informant of russia’s FSB who adjusted russian strikes on Ukraine’s Defence Forces in Donetsk region.

The detained woman provided geolocations of the AFU units near Kramatorsk to the enemy.

Her ‘liaison’ was a former rector of a temple of moscow patriarchate’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Donetsk region. The latter left for the aggressor state after the full-scale invasion and began working for the FSB.

The SSU identified that the informant had been the cleric’s assistant. After he fled, she continued to keep in touch with him.

Earlier this year, the woman travelled through EU states to russia to meet her FSB handler.

Her ‘supervisor’ was a former head of artillery reconnaissance of the 100th separate motorised infantry brigade of the occupiers.

During the meeting, he briefed the asset, set out her main tasks and channels of communication through the UOC-MP cleric.

The agent returned to Ukraine and began collecting intelligence for the aggressor state.

The information was transmitted through an anonymous chat in a popular messenger app.

The SSU documented her criminal activity and apprehended the suspect in her apartment in Krasnotorka village.

During the search, the SSU seized a mobile phone and a tablet which the traitor used to pass data to the occupiers.

SSU investigators have served her a notice of suspicion.

The suspect is in custody, facing up to 8 years in prison.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
