SSU detains FSB agent ‘red-handed’ during installation of GPS beacon to guide russian missiles at Ukrainian railway facility (video)
As a result of a multi-stage special operation in Khmelnytskyi oblast, the SSU detained another agent of russia’s FSB.
The enemy saboteur was preparing the aggressor’s missile attack on a strategic facility of Ukrzaliznytsia [Ukrainian Railways].
To do this, he tried to install a GPS tracker near a target previously identified by the occupiers.
Using the beacon’s signals, the enemy planned to adjust their missiles to hit the infrastructure facility.
In case of successful completion of the assignment, the traitor hoped to receive a monetary reward from his FSB handler. The money was supposed to be transferred to his bank card.
However, the SSU disrupted the aggressor’s plans and detained their accomplice on an attempt to install the tracker.
According to the investigation, the apprehended enemy agent is a resident of Slavuta, recruited remotely by an officer of the FSB’s Crimean department this spring.
During the search of the suspect’s home, the SSU found a laptop, bank cards, mobile phones and SIM cards with evidence of the crime.
SSU investigators have served the individual a notice of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason committed under martial law).
The suspect is in custody, facing life imprisonment.
The SSU Office in Khmelnytskyi region carried out the operation under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
