Kharkiv oblast: SSU detains two russian informants who sought information on Ukraine’s counteroffensive

As a result of stabilization measures in the liberated territories of Kharkiv oblast, the SSU detained another two aggressor’s accomplices.

The suspects are a man and a woman from Vovchansk, who knew each other and were covertly collecting information on locations and movements of the Defence Forces and consequences of russian missile and artillery strikes in the region.

The agents passed the collected intelligence to their relatives living in russia.

The occupiers needed the data to plan and prepare air strikes on Ukrainian targets.

The SSU located and detained both informants when they were conducting reconnaissance.

During the searches, the SSU found and seized the mobile phones, which the agents used to communicate with the aggressor.

The detainees were served notices of suspicion under Article 114-2.3 of the CCU (unauthorized dissemination of information on transfer, movement of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, movement, transfer or deployment of the AFU or other lawful military formations, committed under martial law).

The suspects are in custody. The investigation is ongoing.

The SSU Office in Kharkiv region carried out the operation under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
