SSU detains ‘chief financier’ from former occupation administration of Kupiansk
The SSU Counterintelligence has exposed another collaborator in the liberated districts of Kharkiv oblast.
The detained woman is a former official of Kupiansk City Council, who started collaborating with ruscists immediately after the full-scale invasion.
During the temporary occupation, she headed the ‘finance department’ of russia’s local administration.
In this ‘position’, the collaborator was introducing the ‘ruble zone’ in the region and organizing financing of ‘expenditures’ for the needs of russian troops.
After Kupiansk’s liberation, the offender tried to hide from justice. However, the SSU found and apprehended the suspect.
SSU investigators served the woman a notice of suspicion of collaboration (Article 111-1.5 of the CCU).
The court chose custody without bail as a measure of restraint. The suspect is facing up to 10 years in prison.
The SSU Office in Kharkiv region carried out the operation under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
