SSU detains chief of Kherson university ‘office’ who introduced russian educational standards there

As a result of stabilization efforts in the liberated Kherson, the SSU has exposed another ruscist supporter.

After the occupation, the woman supported the invaders and agreed to head the document flow unit at a local university.

In this ‘position’, she carried out gauleiter Saldo’s instructions to introduce russian education ‘standards’ in the occupied part of the southern region.

Among other things, she was engaged in ‘reformatting’ the document flow in the seized university in accordance with the requirements of the russian education ministry.

Subsequently, the collaborator received a russian passport and ‘voted for the accession’ of Kherson region to the aggressor state.

She was also an active participant in the propaganda events of the local occupation administration and called on Kherson residents to support the invaders in the war against Ukraine.

The woman massively disseminated kremlin narratives on her page in the banned Odnoklassniki network, glorifying russian occupation groupings and justifying the temporary seizure of Crimea.

After Kherson’s liberation, the ruscist supporter remained in the city and continued to spread hostile online propaganda occasionally.

The SSU documented the suspect’s criminal actions, found and detained her in her flat.

During the searches, the SSU seized:

  • documents confirming her work for the occupiers at the university;
  • a photo of her with the russian military in captured Kherson;
  • pro-kremlin symbols and other evidence.

The detainee has now been served a notice of suspicion under Article 436-2.2 of the CCU (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).

The court is to decide on a measure of restraint for the suspect, who is facing up to 5 years in prison with confiscation of property. The actions of the person in question may be additionally qualified.

The SSU Office in Kherson region carried out the operation under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
