SSU detains enemy accomplice who repaired russian tanks during battle for Kharkiv

The SSU has uncovered another ruscist accomplice who collaborated with russian troops during the temporary occupation of Kharkiv oblast.

The perpetrator was an employee of a plant in Bohodukhiv district. After the occupation of the community, he volunteered to help the invaders and began to repair their armoured vehicles.

He restored combat capabilities of russian tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, other wheeled vehicles damaged by Ukrainian defenders during the battle for Kharkiv.

The collaborator also betrayed local residents who resisted the armed aggression and gave information about them to the invaders.

Subsequently, they abducted Ukrainian patriots, imprisoned them in torture chambers and brutally tortured.

The ‘plant employee’ showed the occupiers the homes of citizens who had moved to Ukrainian-controlled territory.

The enemy soldiers, together with their accomplice, broke into these homes and looted them, stealing everything from clothes and household appliances to cars.

In return, russian commanders allowed the traitor to move freely in the area and take some of the stolen things.

After the liberation of the area, the man tried to hide and evade justice. However, the SSU established his location and detained him.

Based on the evidence, the detainee was served a notice of suspicion under Article 111-2.1 of the CCU (aiding the aggressor state).

The suspect is in custody and faces up to 12 years in prison.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kharkiv region jointly with the National Police under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
