SSU detains Kherson court official who worked for russia during occupation

The SSU detained another collaborator who cooperated with the enemy during the temporary seizure of Kherson.

This is a secretary of a unit in the city court. At the beginning of the full-scale war, the 39-year-old woman worked as a penitentiary inspector at a local penitentiary institution.

After the occupation, she supported the ruscists, who later appointed her to their administration.

There, the woman became an ‘inspector’ of the seized penitentiary department in the region and was promoted to ‘lieutenant of russia’s internal service’.

According to the investigation, the ‘official’ kept records of prisoners and their assignment to cells in the prison, which the ruscists set up in the seized penal colony in Kherson.

After the liberation, the woman laid low and did not leave her home for a long time. Then, she got a job in a local court.

When filling in the application form, she deliberately concealed the fact of her collaboration with the aggressor.

The SSU documented her criminal actions and detained her.

The investigators have now served her a notice of suspicion under Article 111-1.7 of the CCU (voluntary holding of a position by a citizen of Ukraine in unlawful law enforcement agencies established in the temporarily occupied territory).

The investigation is ongoing. The suspect faces up to 15 years in prison.

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Offices in Mykolaiv and Kherson regions under the procedural supervision of Mykolaiv Region Prosecutor’s Office and with the assistance of Kherson City Court.
