SSU detains enemy accomplice who tried to flee to Transnistria after Kherson’s liberation (video)

In the course of counter-sabotage operations in Vinnytsia oblast, the SSU detained an accomplice of the aggressor.

This is a resident of Bilozerka district of Kherson region, repeatedly convicted for serious crimes.

After part of the southern region was captured, the man voluntarily collaborated with russian occupiers.

According to the SSU Counterintelligence, the individual provided the ruscist punitive units with information on locations of resistance members and their families.

Primarily, the enemy was interested in addresses of Ukrainian soldiers who had previously participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in Eastern Ukraine.

For his ‘loyalty’, the collaborator received a ‘special status’ from the leadership of the local occupation administration, which allowed him to loot and move freely in the area.

The man was to give part of the loot to russians.

After Kherson’s liberation, the traitor fled to Vinnytsia region posing as an IDP.

There, he settled in one of the villages bordering the unrecognized Transnistria and was looking for ‘options’ to illegally leave Ukraine.

However, the SSU Counterintelligence established the offender’s location and detained him.

SSU investigators served the detained individual a notice of suspicion under the Article 111-2.1 of the CCU (aiding the aggressor state).

The court chose custody as a measure of restraint.

The investigation is ongoing. The suspect is facing up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.

The SSU Vinnytsa Office carried out the operational and investigative activities under the supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
