SSU detains another seven enemy accomplices who justified war against Ukraine

The Security Service of Ukraine has apprehended seven more individuals who justified russia’s war against Ukraine and tried to disrupt mobilization. Following the SSU’s investigation, another enemy propagandist has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

In Kyiv, a former foreign language teacher was exposed on calling on social media to support putin and the occupation of Ukraine.

A 36-year-old IDP from Zaporizhzhia was also detained in Kyiv. He was providing information on geolocations of Ukrainian military servicemen, including mobile groups of Territorial Recruitment Centers, to Telegram channels.

In Cherkasy region, the SSU uncovered four administrators of anonymous groups on social media and messengers. They informed draft evaders about the locations of checkpoints and gave advice on mobilization evasion.

An internally displaced person from Donetsk region was apprehended in Khmelnytskyi: in a chat roulette he justified the russian missile attack on the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital.

Based on the evidence collected, SSU investigators notified the detained individuals of suspicion (in accordance with the crimes committed) under the Articles of the CCU:

  • 114-1.1 (obstruction of lawful activities of the Armed Forces and other military formations, during a special period);
  • 436-2.1 (justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).

The suspects face prison sentences.

In Kharkiv, a local propagandist, who worked remotely for the 85th main center of the russian military intelligence service (‘the GRU’), has been convicted to 10 years in prison.

This enemy unit is responsible for information subversion against Ukraine, including through the use of agent networks.

On russia’s instructions, the perpetrator administered several Telegram channels and groups in messenger apps. There, she praised the kremlin regime and justified russia’s war crimes.

The operations were carried out by the SSU Offices in Kyiv, Kyiv region, Cherkasy and Khmelnytskyi regions under the procedural supervision of regional prosecutor’s offices.
