SSU detains another two FSB spotters who adjusted russian missile strikes on Dnipropetrovsk region

The Security Service of Ukraine has apprehended another two members of an agent network of russia’s federal security service, which was dismantled in August this year in Dnipropetrovsk oblast.

Then the SSU Counterintelligence detained 6 members of the cell, who were adjusting russian missile and drone attacks. The main targets were military and critical infrastructure facilities.

Two more agents of this group have been detained now.

They are a 56-year-old head of security at a local enterprise and a 48-year-old unemployed woman who lived in Dnipro suburbs.

The assets acted separately from each other, but were coordinated by the same russian handler who ran the entire network.

On his instructions, the agents prepared coordinates for air strikes on the locations of the Defense Forces and Ukrzaliznytsia facilities involved in the transportation of military equipment and ammunition to the front.

The spies also monitored routes of the AFU military convoys toward the front line.

To obtain intelligence, the enemy accomplices drove around the streets of Dnipro and surrounding areas and recorded the locations of targets.

Next, they prepared reports and sent them to the FSB in the form of geolocations of potential targets with their detailed descriptions.

The SSU Counterintelligence detained the two perpetrators at their homes. Mobile phones with evidence of the crime were seized during searches.

SSU investigators served the detainees notices of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law). The suspects are in custody without the right to be released on bail. They face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Dnipropetrovsk region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
